Bushido & Geisha sculpture series

The series is complete. There are 15 total pieces, with seven representing the Virtues of Bushido, seven geisha figures and the final piece representing Samurai and Geisha. Each figure has the Japanese kanji symbol on the back, representing the Virtue and/or the name of the piece.

Each figure is a handbuilt clay form with a crackle glaze and ink finish. The dragons are silver plated copper wire in permanent colors. The swords are cut from aluminum strips and finished with cast pewter tsuba (hand guards) and ribbon wrapped tsuka (hilt). Beads, chain and various other materials are used for the hair decorations on the figures.
